Advancing AI Enhanced Quantum Sensing for Life Sciences at QMAPS Lab

At QMAPS Lab, we are developing a portable quantum lab-on-chip (QLOC) using diamond-NV quantum sensors to quantify protein biomarkers and oxygen/oxidative-stress signatures from ultra-low-volume plasma (<10 µL). A replaceable microfluidic cartridge routes the sample across sensing pads while embedded AI adaptively optimizes the quantum measurement, performs quality control (QC) flagging, and outputs uncertainty-aware scores. The goal is faster point-of-care decision support for sepsis (including neonatal settings) and blood-based risk stratification for neurodegeneration, with a pathway to IVDR-aligned validation.
