Reliability Engineering for Integrated Quantum Systems at QMAPS Lab

At QMAPS Lab, we are developing a Quantum Reliability Engineering (QRE) framework for quantum hardware by adapting established classical reliability methods to the quantum domain. The work focuses on defining quantum-specific reliability concepts, distinguishing short-term quality metrics such as fidelity and speed from longer-term reliability measures such as drift, availability, and yield, identifying the limits of today’s static benchmarking approaches, and validating the framework using longer-term hardware data such as coherence, frequency, fidelity, and calibration trends collected over time.
